New User restrictions

With the experience of getting more and more stubborn spammers in the old forum, the new user permissions are a bit restrictive here for now.

So as a new user you:

  • are not allowed to create new topics
  • can reply, but moderated, means your reply has to be approved by a moderator
  • can not send personal messages to other users
  • can not use the Chat

The common way to reach a trust level, where you can create and reply to topics without moderation, is to hang around here, reading different topics and posts.
Because this will be a bit hard for the beginning, with such little content, you can reply to this post and ask for a higher trust level. If your profile and reply are okay, a moderator can change your trust level manually.
You already had an account in the old forum? Fine, in your reply add a link to your profile there and we can set your trust level to what you deserve.

Hi,

I have a problem in librecad with dimensions and would like to get permission to ask questions inside the support category!

Thanks in advance!

A post was split to a new topic: LibreCAD crash on exit

Hello,

I’m using libre CAD to make leather patterns for my projects. It works great in most cases, but I have one issue, I found it difficult to find solution to. In leather patterns it’s common to put round marks on a stitching line, where the stitch hole supposed to be.

It’s trivial with straight edge. Somewhat easy with circles or half circles (I use separate tool to compute a 2D points on a circle), a little tedious tho. But I found it impossible to do, for irregular lines (e.g Spline through points). Is there a way to convert an irregular path into a line of circles (0.5mm radius), fixed distance (let’s say 4-5mm) apart?

I have images that should help with understanding, but I can’t upload them (I guess permission issues).
